In Malappuram, Congress- League rift widens

Malappuram: Though the state leaderships have made peace on seat sharing issues, thr UDF leaders in Malappuram are worried that whether that could be translated into action at the grass roots level. If the differences between Congress and Muslim League cannot be resolved at the earliest, things could read to friendly fights between the two parties. In the last five yeras, the rift between the two parties have become so wide that a rapprochement seems out of the question. That was why the parties declared that they would be fighting polls on their own before the leaderships could issue directives on LSG polls. Though the district leaderships have tried to mediate several times, they went in vain.
