Idukki: CITU is getting ready to orgnaise workers across all sectors pressing the demand of Rs 500 as daily wage. For this a meet will be organised of workers of all trades who are currently drawing less salary. The first meet will be organised at Wayand on October 2 and ahead of that CITU office bearers meeting will be called. In the last country wide strike, the main demand was minimum wage of Rs 500. The strike did not get the expected attention and the Munnar protest on the hand became popular. This has made CITU to rework its strategy.
