Cashew Corporation:Left support for INTUC president's strike

Kollam: The very effort of rooting out corruption in the Cashew Corporation has met with severe opposition from the INTUC with the Cashew Corporation chairman and INTUC state head R Chandrasekaran observing a strike. His main demand- Finance department additional chief secretary Dr KM Abraham should be ousted from the post. Reason- Abraham submitted detailed report to the High Court on the corruption in the corporation. Now, the CPM and CITU extended their support saying that the strike is against the government. When Chandrasekaran is chairman of the Cashew Corporation, KA Ratheesh a close relative of Chandrasekaran is the MD. Even in the last LDF government's time Ratheesh was able to continue in the post unscathed.
