Thrissur: Manju Warrier, a former Kalathilakam at the state school youth festival, has come forward to do her bit to foster young talent. She gave away financial aid 12 to children selected by Mathrubhumi on her request, to pursue training in their chosen spheres of art. In addition to the grant for dance classes, she built houses for three children also. The children expressed their gratitude to Manju for her magnanimous gesture. Mathrubhumi CMD MP Veerendrakumar said that Manju's act was exemplary. Mathrubhumi managing editor PV Chandran, Usha Veerendrakumar, Iram group chairman Siddique Ahamed and Vaidyamadom Vasudevan attended the function.
