Huge price rise during UDF rule, says govt. figures

T'Puram: The state has witnessed a huge price rise from 2011, when the UDF ministry took charge, to 2015, say government figures. The price of milk and groceries went up by 50 per cent while that of rice increased by 20 per cent. The prices of hotel food items rose to 65 per cent, while big onion prices spiralled by 89%, the government informed the House. Minister Anoop Jacob was giving a written reply to the House and quoted government figures for the same. The minister was replying to a question by VS Sunil Kumar.
