K R Gowri Amma to return to CPM on August 19

Alappuzha: Former minister and JSS leader K R Gowri Amma is all set rejoin CPM after a gap of 21 years. CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said Gowri Amma would rejoin the party at a function scheduled on August 19 at Alappuzha in connection with the birth anniversary observance of CPM leader P. Krishna Pillai. The JSS Gowri Amma faction would merge with the CPM the same day. Gowri Amma arrived at the decision to rejoin the party following talks held by Kodiyeri at her residence in Alappuzha. However, the party post for the veteran leader has not been fixed yet. 'Gowri Amma is aware of the methodologies followed by the party. Hence, there is no room for worry,' Kodiyeri said.
