SFI marches against delay in textbook printing turns violent

Kannur/Kottayam: Students Federation of India (SFI) marches in protest against the delay in printing textbooks turned violent in Kannur, Kottayam and Malappuram on Tuesday as activists clashed with police. Police resorted to lathi charge, used teargas and water canons to disburse the students. In Kottayam police and students clashed with police in various places. Four media persons, 18 SFI activists and three police officials were injured in the clash.
