Parents anxious over delay in CBSE exam results

Kozhikode: Parents of students who have taken the CBSE Xth std examination are anxious over the delay in announcement of results. They fear that their wards would lose the opportunity to enrol in quality schools for +1 course. Parents demand that the deadline for applying to this course be extended. Results for ICSE and Kerala syllabi are already in. Since the pass percentage in Kerala syllabus has risen this time, Nisar Olavanna, office-bearer of CBSE School Association, apprehends that there might not be many seats available for their students. Nearly a lakh students have appeared for the exam from around 900 CBSE-affiliated schools in the state and from Dubai & Qatar.
