‘Strong Girl’ urging women, girls against poverty goes viral

All African-cast of 9 musicians from 7 countries have come together on a new song - ‘Strong Girl’- exhorting women and girls to fight poverty. Video features - Kenyan Victoria Kimani, Vanessa Mdee of Tanzania, Arielle T from Gabon, Mozambique’s Gabriela, Judith Sephuma of SA, Nigerians Yemi Alade & Waje, Selmor Mtukudzi from Zimbabwe, and 14-year-old S A rapper, Blessing. Investments in health, education and economic empowerment can help remove the barriers that prevent so many girls and women from leading productive lives. Giving women the power and tools they need to improve their lives and take hold of equal opportunities means they can become catalysts to help end poverty.
