Fishing in troubled waters!
Hitting the fishermen hard is the decision of the centre to implement 61 days trawling ban. With the fishing community in the state voicing their protest Fisheries Minister K Babu said that the complete trawling ban announced by the centre would not be implemented in Kerala. He said 12 nautical miles comes under the state government's discretion. In Kerala a trawling ban of only 45 days will be implemented. The high level committee had recommended the complete trawling ban which was followed by the centre. Super Prime Time discusses the issue.
