Many people duped by offering land in Cheruvally Estate

T'puram: Many people have been duped by promising land in BC Cheruvally Estate located in Pathanamthitta. Money from about 2500 people were collected, which will run into crores, by offering a piece of land in Cheruvally estate. The scam came out, when people complained about it in Harrison Special office. The complaint says that money was collected by promising one acre of land. The land was offered saying it belongs to all Kerala Cheraman Christian society. According to complainants, the name was then allegedly changed to "Akila Kerala Burahitha Karshaka Thozhilali Sangam'. AT Podian, head of the society accepted that he has collected money when the reporter talked to him over phone as a prospective buyer of land.
