Land Scam: Enquiry against Tom Jose IAS

Kochi: The State government had issued orders to enquire about the financial dealings of Principal Secretary of Labour Department, Tom Jose IAS in the land dealing he had in Maharashtra. Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson, rejecting the explanation given by Tom Jose, asked the Home Secretary to enquire about this suspicious dealing. Tom Jose had earlier informed that he had bought a rubber estate for 1.63 crore rupees took as loan. Later he had submitted a document to the government saying he had closed the loan amount within a year by the money he received from his relatives and friends. But the Chief Secretary had rejected this report and now initiated an enquiry.
