VS to maintain strategic silence till party congress ends

T’puram: On the CPI {M} Central Committee also abandoning him to his fate, V S Achutanandan has resolved to keep a strategic silence till the 21st party congress scheduled for April 14-19th in Vizag gets over. It is said that the leader of the Opposition had called over his confidant and former additional private secretary V K Sasidharan over for informal consulations. Since the latter has been expelled by the CPI {M}, this act of VS will further infuriate the state leadership. His present position seems to be to defend the party in public and the assembly and adopt a confrontionist attitude towards the ideological line of the state leadership in organisational committees.
