Students of Dayapuram institution reap green dividends

Kozhikode: The students of Dayapuram Educational & Cultural Centre in suburban Chathamangalam have reaped a bounteous harvest, a rich reward for their green labours. Around three months back these dedicated batch of students, who desired to be rid off pesticide-tainted vegetables, had planted cabbage, cauliflower and cucumber in an acre and eighty cents of land. The soil responded fecundly to the seeds tenderly planted by eager hands. Reethu Salim can scarcely contain her excitement as she conveys her joy at the results which exceeded all their expectations. Aiysha Hima says that they intend distributing it among the peols around the campus.
