Dilli: Supreme Court bristled at veteran communist VS Achuthanandan using judicial fora to drag on his fight against political rivals. The bench of Justices T S Thakur and Adarsh Kumar Goel warned of imposing exemplary costs if it found that the matter being raised before it was devoid of merits. “Have you made any allegation of corruption against the present CM {of Kerala}? You are not taking any responsibility. Are you fishing in troubled waters?” asked the apex court as VS’s counsel sought another adjournment. Noting that VS was a former CM and the present leader of opposition in the assembly, the court said, “You want this in the media to keep it alive. You want to take political mileage.”
