Attempts to sabotage vigilance probe, alleges Biju

T'puram: The Bar Association working president Biju Ramesh has alleged that attempts are on to scuttle the vigilance probe that is being held to investigate the bar bribery issue. He also revealed that minister P J Joseph and Jose K Mani had called him several times and pressured him to retract on his statement. Biju was asked by Jose K Mani to give a statement that Mani had not taken money though he had gone to K M Mani's house with money. He alleged that all details of the vigilance probe are trickling and the govt is intimidating officials in the probe team or transferring them. 'If nothing emerges out of the Vigilance probe then I would move the court seeking a CBI probe,' he said.
