MK Stalin resigns as DMK treasurer

Chennai: DMK leader MK Stalin handed over his resignation from party posts earlier on Sunday alleging his followers are not getting enough consideration in the ongoing party elections. But Karunanidhi has not yet responded to his resignation. Meantime, Stalin told media that his resignation news is bogus. It is also reported that Stalin wanted to be the general secretary of the party, for the elections are scheduled on Friday. With his resignation news, the DMK could attract the attention of the media for the election procedures too. Earlier, after the loss in Lok Sabha elections, Stalin had resigned the position of treasurer owing the responsibilities of the defeat, which was rejected by party president Karunanidhi then.
