CM puts down CBI probe in ‘bar’

T’Puram: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Wednesday has denied the demand of for a CBI probe by opposition leader V S Achuthanandan and said that an investigation by Vigilance is progressing on the matter. Chandy also said that he cannot change his stand according to that of Opposition leader. The state government had proclaimed a vigilance probe according to a letter written by VS. Chandy, after the cabinet meeting, said that UDF is united on the matter and no one can pull off any one from the front. The whole cabinet rallied behind Mani and lends their support in the matter.
