Digvijay Singh bats again for beleaguered Tharoor

Bengaluru: Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh said Dr. Shashi Tharoor, who was eased out as party spokesperson for praising PM Modi, still enjoys a high-level of confidence among Congress workers. Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the Asian-Arab Chamber of Commerce meet he said, “He is still a member of the Congress; only thing is that he has been taken out from the list of spokespersons. That’s all.” Singh also welcomed the PM’s recent visit to Japan and lauded the personal relationship between the leaders. “We welcome Prime Minister’s visit to Japan and we also welcome his very close personal relationship with the Prime Minister of Japan,” he said.
