Parties share shoulders to open a beverage outlet

Thiruvananthapuram: The Excise Minister K Babu gets the letter from political parties to open a closed beverage outlet. The Congress, CPM and CPI give request letters to open a closed outlet at Vellathooval in Idukki. All parties unanimously say that this outlet has played a major role in the development of Vellathooval. It is common that political parties and social organizations come together to close down a beverage shop, but here different parties unite requesting to open an outlet. The Vellathooval service co-operative bank and Vyapari-Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi join hands with political parties. But the government takes the stand that the need of opening the outlet is not from a popular feeling.
