Land fair price increased; ban to flex boards

Thiruvananthapuram: The cabinet decided to hike the fair price of land from 30 to 50 percent today. A decision has not been taken in the stamp duty and registration fee of transaction of land between relatives. With the increase in fair price of land the government expects 500 crore extra income. At the juncture of rubber price depression the government asked the PWD to implement rubberized tarring. To check pollution, the cabinet also decided to bring in law to ban and restrict the use of flex boards and plastics.
