E Chandrasekharan Nair; a polite political leader

E Chandrasekharan Nair in his eight and a half decade long life is a silent presence in the minds of Malayali. A leader like him who treaded an honest path in the political sphere of the state is a rarity in these modern days. A strong advocate of co-operative movement in the state, E Chandrasekharan Nair was a prominent force behind spearheading some of the prominent welfare initiatives in helping the poor sections in the society. Born in 1928 on 2 December to E Easwara Pillai and Meenakshy Amma, Nair entered into active politics out of his father’s influence, who was a member at Travancore Legislative Council and Thiru-Kochi Assembly.
