To appoint a leader in active politics as a governor means he is being sent into exile. That was why many doubted whether the news was just a troll when Kummanam Rajasekharan was appointed Mizoram governor. In 1960, Pattom Thanu Pillai was sent away as governor of Punjab so as to make R Sankar the chief minister. The same happened with Kidangoor Gopalakrishna pillai when he was made the High Commissioer to Singapore by K Karunakaran. The only thing left to know is the kind of Jasmine Revolution to take place in the state BJP post the deportation of Kummanam to Mizoram. Vakradrishti, Episode 576.
