Peppara Dam & Wildlife Sanctuary
Near the Ponmudi Hills and 50 km from Thiruvananthapuram. The catchment area of Peppara dam across the river Karamana was declared a sanctuary in 1983. Spread over an area of 53 sq. km. this picturesque spot with its rich fauna and birds is dear to Ornithologists as it provides good bird watching.
