Thiruvananthapuram: KSEB has decided to extend half an hour load shedding during day time besides the half and hour during morning and night hours. There would be half an hour daytime load shedding in cities too taking the total load shedding hours to 1.5 hours. But the board is also planning to extend the time due to acute power shortage. Due to declining power from Thalcher power plant, Kerala is getting 40 lakh units less from the central pool. In BSEF thermal power plant, production was stopped due to non-availability of Naphtha. So 37.8 lakh units of power Kerala gets from there is not available.
