Father held for impregnating 15-year-old daughter

Guruvayur: A father and his helper were held on Monday for impregnating his 15 year old daughter. Jamal Ahamed, 49, from Pavaratti was held for raping his daughter. His friend and relative Abdul Khader, 52, from Thoyakkavu, who helped Jamal arrange the delivery in a hospital in Hyderabad were also held. A team led by assistant police commissioner RK Jayarajan was held from Charminar in Hyderabad.
The team held them on the basis of a complaint filed by Jamal's wife on January 15. In the complaint it was stated that her husband and elder daughter were missing. She is Jamal's third wife and has five children. He sexually molested his daughter whenever her mother was not at home. The family resides at Jamal's wife house in Feroke, Kozhikode. When his daughter became pregnant, he returned to his home along with her and told relatives that she has tumor in her stomach. He went to Hyderabad along with his daughter saying that an operation was needed. The daughter delivered a baby boy on January 21. The boy is with a relative of Abdul Khader. Jamal is a tailor in the Gulf.
