Thiruvananthapuram: Mathrubhumi News Channel entered the television space on Wednesday with the lighting of the traditional lamp by Mathrubhumi managing director M P Veerendrakumar and managing editor P V Chandran. The inaugural function was held at 10.30 in the morning at the Thiruvananthapuram Mathrubhumi office studio. Malayalees across the globe will be offered a visual treat of unbiased and reliable news in the coming weeks.
Mathrubhumi's Kappa TV, a music channel, will set foot into the broadcasting space very soon.
At a time when Mathrubhumi is setting foot into its 90th year, the news channel is presented absorbing all new trends in electronic media sector. Mathrubhumi News owns the biggest newsroom in Kerala. The newsroom, which was set up foreseeing the upcoming trends in future, will feel the pulse of the world. The channel is led by a team, who are technically and professionally, well ahead. The first news bulletin from Mathrubhumi News was broadcast at 10.30 am.
Mathrubhumi News has charted out separate programmes for the youth, women and children. The programmes would target development, lifestyle and environmental issues apart from current affairs.
