
No one from Kerala has voting rights to select BJP president

Kochi: Though polls for selecting the BJP national president is scheduled on January 23, no one will vote from Kerala. It is for the first time that none from Kerala has voting rights. As the organization polls in Kerala is not complete, no member from Kerala will be part of national council meet, which will select the president. Usually the national president would be elected after polls conducted in 18 states. Kerala was also included but his year due to difference of opinion of rebel activities, the selection of president for Kerala region is not complete. Though national vice president Ramlal, national secretary V Muralidhara Rao, who is having charge of Kerala and V Satheesh, National sub organizational secretary, held talks with leaders here, all ended in failure. Finally, on January 15, though Satheesh reached Kerala to announce the new president, due to protest from RSS he left. V Satheesh came with the intention of retaining the existing president V Muralidharan but had to go back.
