Centre's responsibility to bring back the marines : Chandy

Kochi: The responsibility of bringing back the Italian marines, who were allowed to go home for Christmas reprieve, lies with the centre, said chief minsiter Oommen Chandy here on Saturday.
Italy has assured that the marines would come back. The state govt stand on this is clear and the Italian govt has assured the court that they would return after spending their Xmas with their family. The state and union govt have no different stand on this. The centre has clearly understood the feelings of the state, Chandy said.
The union govt had told the court that it is not against the marines going home but it is up to the court to decide.
