Youth attacks woman passenger at railway station

Kuttippuram: A mentally ill youth attacked a woman passenger at the Kuttipuram railway station on Tuesday. Vinija, 28, daughter of Narayanan, was injured and was admitted to a private hospital. Shameer, 27, who attacked her was nabbed by the natives and handed over to the police.
Narayanan and family was at the station waiting to buy a ticket after visiting the Guruvayur temple. Shameer who ran with a wooden stick in his hand tried to attack many passengers. Vinjia was standing with her daughter and when Shameer tried to hit the baby she tried to prevent it thereby receiving the blow. After treatment at a hospital, the family left for Vadakara.
