Thodpuzha: Citing difference of opinion over enrolment issues, the Youth Congress activists from A and I section clashed among themselves in Thodupzha. They destroyed the car of KPCC organizing committee member CP Mathew. During the clash, a youth Congress constituency president Ajmal and a policeman Siyad were injured.
In the Youth Congress membership campaign, which began on Tuesday, the A and I sections were clamouring for majority. The I group alleged that the A section enrolled members at Kumily discreetly and were trying to mix it along with the applications kept in Thodupuzha. Due to this, the I group were guarding the applications kept in a private lodge. The A activist reached there on Tuesday morning which ended in a clash. A police team led by SP, DYSP, CI and SI were also there and the clash occurred in their presence.
