Lightening strike at TVM railway station withdrawn

Thiruvananthapuram: Traffic workers of the Thiruvananthapuram Railway station held a lightening strike here on Wednesday. Following this, rail traffic was disrupted. After the concerned officials assured to resolve the issue, the workers withdrew from the strike after an hour.

The strike was held protesting against a recent upgradation move by the Railway alleging the upgradation of connecting the engines would prove dangerous. Ensure good working condition and reduce work load are the other demands.

Long distance trains are being halted and disruption of more trains may happen.
