Malappuram : IUML has sorted out issues that have popped up after the controversial remarks of Defense Minister A K Antony who said the State 'failed' to utilize Central funds for Defence projects in the state appropriately, without further talks and without breaking the party code of the front. Though IUML was irked with statements which was observed as an indirect attack against IUML and PK Kunhalikutty, they solved the issues without further talks.
When Antony cleared the air during the function in HAL on Saturday, IUML leaders were pacified and when the leader including, ET Muhammad Basheer, welcomed Antony's stand on Saturday night, the issue was solved. At first IUML felt that Antony should clear the air and resolve the issue. ET Muhammed Basheer then said that Antony who never approaches any issue emotionally would not make such a statement. On Saturday evening too ET reiterated the demand. They also planned to approach UDF with the demand on Sunday. But by Saturday night when Antony cleared the air, the IUML decided to abandon the meeting.
