Chembinthandu (colocasia) bhaji

Chembu is used widely in Kerala in a wide variety of recipes.This is a starchy vegetable.
1. Chopped chembinthandu (colocasia) stalk 8
2. Chana dhal 250 gm
3. Chilly powder 1 spoon
4. Salt, water
5. Asafoetida 1/2 spoon
6. Small piece of ginger
Mix all the ingredients from 2 to 6. Add water and salt and make it into a thick paste. Keep it aside for 10 minutes. In a kadai, fry the stalks of colocasia dipped in the thick gravy. Fry till it becomes deep brown in colour.
