
Gothambu paal payasam

Broken Wheat or cracked wheat is an excellent source of fibre and this payasam is very tasty and simple to make. Also by adding sugarless sugar, even diabetics can relish this payasam.
Broken wheat 150 gm
Milk 2 litres
Sugarless sugar 450 gm
Ghee 25 ml
In a thick bottomed vessel, add the washed broken wheat along with little water and allow it to cook. After it is cooked, add ghee. Then add milk and bring it to a boil. When it comes to a thick consistency, add sugarless sugar and when it starts to boil, switch off the stove. Serve it hot.
