Chemeen pachakaya curry

Prawns cooked in creamy coconut with green bananas, spices and curry leaves add special taste to the curry. This Kerala cuisine tastes delicious with plain rice.


1. Medium size prawns 150 gm
2. Raw bananas cut 2
3. Green chillies 2
4. Curry leaves
5. Salt
6. Ginger paste 1 tablespoon
7. Fried coconut 1 tablespoon
8. Mustard 1/2 teaspoon
9. Chopped onions 2 tablespoon

Make a thick paste with fried coconut, salt, chilly powder, turmeric powder. Cook the raw bananas and prawns in a cup of water. Add the ingredients from 3 to 6. After the prawns and bananas get cooked add the grinded mixture. Keep it aside and serve hot.
