
Railways hands over Rs 32.44 cr, gets 230 acre land

Thiruvananthapuram: Palakkad Divisional Railway Manager Piyush Agarwal today handed over a cheque for Rs 32.44 crore to District Collector P M Ali Asgar Pasha as a part of the formalities associated with the handing and taking over of acquired land for setting up of Rail Coach Factory in the district.
The District Collector also handed over the relevant documents for 230.10 acre of land to Divisional Railway Manager.
As an immediate measure, Railway will take necessary steps to construct boundary wall and other basic support infrastructure designed to secure the acquired land.
DRM informed that 90 more acres of forest land was also requested for the phase-II of Coach Factory. (UNI)
