Chathu Mesthri passes away

Kalpetta: Veteran Congress leader in Wayanad, Chathu Mesthri, passed away here on Saturday. He was 73. He acted as district president of INTUC, president of Congress Kalpetta block, director of Consumer Fed, president of agricultural development bank, president of Maniyankody Milk Development Society and president of Priyadarshini Cooperative Society.
He reached Wayanad for his political activities centering on plantation sector. He acted as Congress Kalpetta block president for 20 years.
Wife is Radha and children Rajani, Rathi and Ramya.
