SSLC equivalent exam for Gulf Malayalees too

Perinthalmanna: An exam equivalent to SSLC would come up in Gulf too for Malayalees in Gulf who dropped the chance and went to Gulf. It is State Literacy Mission, which has been setting up this project. There are many Malayalees who are not getting promotion due to not passing SSLC. In the first phase exam centers will be allotted in UAE, Qatara and Saudi Arabia. At preset the examnation will be held in foreign centers where the Public education board conducts public exams.
The exams will begin from this academic year onwards.
The application will be accepted till September 15 as arrangements are yet to be complete. In Kerala the last date is August 31.
A three member team has been appointed to study registration and conducting contact classes.
