Raids in star hotels in Kochi

Kochi: The Food safety officials on Friday seized damaged food from star hotels. The officials seized damaged food from Le Meridian, White Fort in Vyttila and Sarovaram park hotel in Kochi were raided. Food safety authority officials said action was taken earlier too against hotels like White Fort and Sarovaranm park.
Officials said that they would ask to take criminal cases against these hotels in Court. At the same time fine would be levied form Le Meridian.
The raids are continuing on Friday too. Health minister informed that so far raids are being conducted at 511 hotels and this will continue.
