
2 die, 14 test positive for H1N1 in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram : Two more people died of dreaded H1N1 influenza and 14 people, who tested positive, are under treatment in various districts in Kerala.
Ms Preethi Vanu (42), hailing from Sulthan Betheri in Wyanad District, was admitted in a private hospital in Kozhikode with acute respiratory distress. She expired yesterday due to H1N1, according to official sources here today.
Mr Surendran (59), hailing from Pallimoola in Thrissur District, was admitted in a private hospital in Trissur with Broncho Pneumonia, ARDS and a chronic Type 2 diabetes.
He expired on July 10 and his death was cconfirmed as due to H1N1. Fourteen new positive cases were reported -- Kannur (five) and Trissur (nine), the official sources added. (UNI)
