A walkathon for 11 years

Posted on: 01 Jun 2012

Here is a man who loves to walk and is believed to be the world's longest uninterrupted circumnavigation on foot. 11 years on foot, travelling across the globe, tearing apart 54 pairs of shoes across 64 countries, Quebec nativeJean Béliveau faced all kinds of difficulties in his voyage. From being taken for a beggar to being considered a homeless person, he braved all odds just to raise awareness for peace. But the most cherished part of his expedition was his wife's tolerance - who waited 11 long years for his return. What Jean says after his walkathon: 'I bet some people will decide to change their lives after reading this.' To read the interview of Jean click here.
