Don't delay prosecution against Thachankary: Court

Thrissur: Thrissur Vigilance court asked the state government why it was intentionally delaying the prosecution proceedings against Tomin Thachankary in disproportionate wealth accumulation case. Though the government filed an explanation that it had not delayed the prosecution, the court refused to accept it
The Vigilance, after completing the probe, filed the report in January 2011. Though permission from the government was sought for prosecution, the government had not given it. In this public activist PD Joseph filed a petition alleging the government was deliberately delaying it and in this the court asked for an explanation. The case would be considered again on June 25.
