Why become a whistle blower

Peter Van Buren is a US State Department official who has worked extensively with the military in many parts of the world. He has received awards for his humanitarian works such as helping an American rape victim in Japan and the tsunami relief efforts in Thailand.





In 2009 he was assigned to work in Iraq where he saw something he could not ignore and so wrote a book titled We Meant Well and that was the end of his career. To know why he threw away his career and became a whistleblower, read this article from Tom's Dispatch
