HC stays hearing of Vithura case for a month

Kochi: The High Court stayed the proceedings of the Vithura sex racket case for a month. The victim in the Vithura sex racket case had moved the High Court stating that she is unwilling to go ahead with the case. She said in her petition that she does not expect justice in the case.

22 cases have been registered in connection with this case. Out of this, she has been issued notices to appear in the court in 7 cases. The victim, in her petition, stated that she wanted to be left alone as this is affecting her family life. Appearing in court each time for the hearing affects her psychologically. Events which she likes to forget are being rekindled, she said in her petition.
