Thiruvananthapuram: In a shocking incident, a 21-year old housewife fatally thrashed her infant to the floor when she was
alone in the house at Kattakad near here yesterday.

Though initially she tried to rigle out of the murder by stating that the hapless one-month old child died due to suffocation while
she was feeding, when questioned about the injuries on the body, she confessed the crime, police said.

The woman identified as Shimna has been arrested and remanded to juicial custody, police said. Family quarrel was stated to be reason for the crime, police said.PTI
